What We Do @ L.A.S.P.

L.A.S.P. matches high net-worth institutions with creative professionals who have the drive to contribute meaningfully to the UK Arts Sector, thereby driving revenue and sector growth. We develop these cross-industry relationships in order to revitalise the Arts through a long-term and sustainable mixed-funding model, bringing together the best of Private Investment and Public Sector Funding.

The UK Arts Industry is in dire need of a more sustainable funding model, one better-suited to the modern-day economy. Private Investment is proven to drive focused growth, and Public Sector Funding is proven to provide affordable ticket prices and equality of opportunity. Neither is the answer to all problems; an intelligent mix is needed to provide a balance, and secure a future of growth for the country’s Creative Sectors. L.A.S.P. is building this model in the country’s capital, in order to find and share what works with the rest of the country.

How We Work @ L.A.S.P.

With our feet firmly planted in the worlds of both business and the Arts, we are able to see which Creatives and Financiers will be a good fit. We arrange and mediate meetings in order to align interests, and get significant Arts projects off the ground. This way, Creatives aren’t expected to produce miracles with no money, and Financiers can identify which Arts projects they would like to play a crucial part in. We provide our Financiers with up-to-date lists of Arts projects being produced or planned by our Creatives, and when they see something which lights their sense of cultural responsibility, we make introductions to get the ball rolling. Contact is always through L.A.S.P., and details are kept confidential up until first introduction. Upon agreement of a working partnership, L.A.S.P. acts as project manager, handling as much administrative and managerial duties as is helpful, aiding both parties in delivering a successful outcome.

Who We Are @ L.A.S.P.

L.A.S.P. is founded and directed by Julian Debreuil, a professional opera singer with twenty years of experience working in the Arts. Having also previously been Director of Assiduity Real Estate Ltd for a number of years, Julian approaches his work with cross-sector knowledge and experience, bringing them together in the hope of rebuilding the UK’s Cultural Sector on the basis of a healthier Public & Private Investment Model. Outside of his performing commitments, Julian also works as a independent Geopolitical Consultant, and is the Founder and Director of the London Singers’ Collective Ltd.

Business Rates @ L.A.S.P.

Financiers - We charge a 10% commission on all first time transactions that come about through a L.A.S.P. introduction. Thereafter, this rate drops to 3% as an incentive for both parties to develop further and stronger business relationships. These fees cover all administrative, logistical, and managerial duties throughout each project. Financiers receive 10% of all project revenue upon completion.

Creatives - We offer an annual subscription fee of £100, which gives you a place on our ‘Registered List of Creatives’. This list can contain every project you are working on, or planning for, and is sent to all L.A.S.P. Financiers on a monthly basis.

Our Mission @ L.A.S.P.

In the same way that small businesses are an essential part of the wider UK economy - providing jobs, innovation, and local community support - so is this true of individual industries. L.A.S.P.’s long-term focus is on helping grow the cluster of small, innovative Arts Business that will provide a collaborative, competitive, and self-sustaining ecosphere.

Julian witnessed various sectors of the Arts Industry collapse in the wake of the Financial Crisis, then through the European Debt Crisis, and yet again during the COVID-19 Pandemic and resulting economic lockdowns. Tens of thousands of jobs and livelihoods were lost, with most never being regained - a whole generation of the UK’s arts culture gone for good. A better model must be built from the ground up, allowing the UK Arts Sectors to thrive even in the face of severe economic downturns.

That starts here, with L.A.S.P. If we support each other in bad times, we thrive in good times.
